Voice buddy

Distance milestones, climbs and descents, and a nudge to take a break — said with encouragement. Choose how chatty: quiet, normal or lively.

Directions & fueling reminders

Set a destination and get spoken turn-by-turn directions. On longer rides, you also hear when it’s time to refuel.

AI coach

Say “a loop of about 20 km” and get a loop course from where you are. After the ride, it reviews your record with you.

Segment time attack

Ride a climb or a straight and your time is saved automatically. Start your own time attack mid-ride or create “My Segments”. Live gaps to your best and the top time come with kogoo Pro.

kogoo Photo

Pick your favorite shot from your ride records and share it to everyone’s feed. Connect with simple likes.

Accurate records

Speed, distance and elevation, with stops excluded. Pairs with Bluetooth heart-rate monitors and cadence sensors, and shows live stats on the Lock Screen.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a road bike?

No. It works with cross bikes, mini velos and e-bikes too. No bike computer needed — your iPhone is enough.

How is it different from Strava?

kogoo is about enjoying the ride more than competing. It focuses on voice encouragement, fueling reminders and scenic photos, and leaderboards are opt-in.

Do I have to touch the screen while riding?

No. Updates come by voice. Please stop in a safe place before using the app.

Can other people see my routes?

No. Only you can see your routes and locations. The only things you can share are photos you choose and, if you join, your leaderboard entries.

What can I do for free?

Ride recording, the voice buddy, directions, segment times and leaderboards, ride photos and kogoo Photo are all free. The AI coach can be used 5 times a day.

Where can I use it?

Anywhere in Japan. The app is currently available in Japanese, and we are adding more segments over time.
